Residents of Ogbe Ojie community in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, have appealed to the Delta State Government to repair their only access road in their area.
They said the road has become almost impassable, cutting off the community from surrounding areas.
The residents explained that the poor state of the road has worsened erosion, causing damage to homes

They noted that the situation has also disrupted economic activities and made transportation difficult.
According to them, children in the community find it difficult to go to school during the raining season due to heavy flooding in the area adding that trades and transporters now avoid the area due to the bad road.
Some residents revealed that they had repeatedly contributed money to grade the road and their efforts have failed to produce lasting results.
Lamented that the erosion problem worsens with every rainfall, threatening to wash away parts of the community.
The residents however appealed to the Delta State Government to intervene urgently.

They stressed that fixing the road will not only ease movement but also prevent further environmental damage and improve living conditions.
