The Chief executive officer of MIO group of companies, architect Ikechukwu Odide and Bishop Brian Ilomechine (Team Bishop) have been described as illustrious sons of Aniocha South that have the interest of area at heart.
The Chairman Aniocha South Local Government Council, pastor Jude Chukwuwike made the description during the Aniocha South football fiesta at Ogwashi-Uku.
He said the football fiesta was single handedly organized by MIO group/ Team Bishop to ensure continuous peace and unity of the youths in the locality, praying God to continue to bless them and their families.
The Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Harry ThankGod Trakiriowei and his counterpart at Ministry of Environment, Jamani Tommy Ejiro at the sports program, commended Mio group/ Team Bishop for their initiative in organizing the sports program to unite the youths in their area.
They said the sports program would bring all the youths together as sports is one program that could bring peace and unity to the Communities.
They lauded architect Ikechukwu Odide and Bishop Brian Ilomechine for using their time and resources to bring peace and unity to the Local Government through the football competition, calling on others to emulate them.
The State Chairman of National Youths Council of Nigeria ( NYCN), Ambassador Sagboje Milton at the program, said football was one strategy to engage the youths this season.
He said the football competition would promote peace and unity in the area.
He described Mio group/ Team Bishop as peace advocates and empowerment masters.
The traditional ruler of Ashama kingdom, Obi Solomon Ezechinyelugo 11 and Obi of Ewulu kingdom, Obi Godwin Onyeweuwa also at the program, described architect Ikechukwu Odide as an uncommon philanthropist that his kind is rare on the planet earth, saying that Mio so much believe in the well being of his people
They said Mio group and team Bishop are great sons of Aniocha South, calling on other youths to emulate them.
Architect Ikechukwu Odide and Bishop Brian Ilomechine who spoke to newsmen shortly after the program, commended the Chairman of Aniocha South, pastor Jude Chukwuwike, for his support to the program, describing him as a great Unifier that has brought peace and development to the Local Government Area.
They said the purpose of organizing the sports competition was to unite the youths and help them to stay away from cultism, drug consumption and other social vices that are capable of truncating their future.
They called on the youths in the area to continue in the part of peace, stay away from cultism, drugs and other social vices .
